As many people constantly remind me I have been inactive here for the last 3 years. I needed a break and maybe need time to really dive back in. But I was reminded today that 5 years ago today I started this tattoo on an amazing woman. This was her first tattoo, two full sleeves! I had no idea how to approach this tattoo. It’s made me cry and stressed me out to the point of losing my voice. This tattoo has challenged me in so many ways. I am so grateful for meeting and sharing so much with her over all these years. Her trust and understanding is beautiful. This was the start of our friendship and she continues to trust me and ask me to do more challenging work. Annika thank you for everything I’m so grateful for all your patience, your knowledge, openness, and understanding. oxo
This has been a pretty epic few weeks. After being home with our new baby Ollie, I was missing the shop, it seemed like I hadn't been there in so long because my life is a new baby right now. I think waking up and finding out not only did the shop win Best Tattoo shop of Atlanta, but I won Best Tattoo Artist was shocking. It's so humbling and mind blowing to me. I'm so grateful for this community and my work family. It's not always easy balancing everything but these gestures by our clients to take the time to vote for us means everything. 4 days ago we welcomed Ollie Elwin Miller into the world at 12:22am right in our own bedroom. The support from @mattxmiller is what got me through it. I am so grateful to have him as a partner in life. He was concerned about a home-birth until we met with the midwife and totally got on board. Now we've both experienced the beauty of birthing a child at home. I know it's not for everyone and we were completely happy with our hospital birth the first time. Being a second time parent allowed me to trust my body differently to do what it needed to do, and we've experience our baby with more confidence and experience. We are enjoying the ride so far, and so happy that Stella has a little brother to love on. Viva love oxoxo

So I've been busy, and getting busy! @mattxmiller and I are having another baby this August! We are so excited, can't wait for our family to grow and for Stella to be a big sister. It's gonna be a hot summer. oxoxo

Very behind on posting. I feel overwhelmed by being on here most days and definitely get sucked into the rabbit hole of amazing artists and adorable kids and pets. My daughter doesn't nap anymore so I don't have time to spend on here. Thank you for checking out my work and everyone that gets tattooed. This was a great tattoo, all one session.
