Premier EP, six morceaux, un monde construit branche après branche depuis plusieurs années, enfin matérialisé dans son habit de feu et de lumière confectionné par @jaubertalexia , typographié par @charlot.jodo .

Il m’a fallu le temps, mais c’était au final le temps nécessaire pour rencontrer et travailler avec toutes les magnifiques personnes qui m’ont entouré, et accompagné vers ce résultat : @raphaele_germser (basse-violon-choeurs), @mathias_bressan (batterie), @chappuis.celine (violoncelle), @geraldine_capart@studio_detours (rec-mix-mastering), @steinfeld.music (priceless preprod help).
J’avais envie de redonner son sens au concept de (mini-)album : dans l’immédiat, le seul moyen d’écouter l’entièreté de l’EP sera sur CD, disponible aux concerts ou via ma page Bandcamp. Quant aux plateformes de streaming, les morceaux y seront égrenés un à un ces prochains mois, à vous de choisir donc ;-)
Distant Fire : la fin d’une étape, le début du chemin. Je continue d’avancer vers ce feu au loin qui m’anime.

Snapshots of last weekend’s solo gigs at Le Jardin de ma sœur, one of Brussels’ best kept secrets located in the heart of the city centre, hidden away from the chaos of the outside world.
Thank you to everyone who showed up and came to talk afterwards - it does mean a lot to me to be able to share my music with you.
Have you ever felt like everything around you moves at a speed you cannot cope with anymore ? Have you ever felt like taking a break, even for a second, to make sense of it all and think of your place in the grand scheme of things?
As much as I can remember, these are the thoughts that were going through my mind when I wrote ‘Eventually’. To be able to let go for a brief moment and zoom out, thinking we’re “just a dot in this world so big”. I feel like it’s the kind of little things that are important to keep in mind as we try and make our way through life.
Strangely enough, I probably never wrote a song this quickly.

Eventually is Raphaële's favourite song off Distant Fire 🔥 She laid her velvet voice as well as bass and viola on several tracks of the EP - and shares inside stories about her experience in this project in between laughs.

𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞 est le premier EP de Désespoir des Singes.
Fin de l’été 2025 Jérôme m’a contactée pour me proposer de travailler avec lui sur ce projet à venir.
Alors on a été balader en forêt…
Après quelques échanges et écoutes, j’ai compris et visualisé son univers musical. La machine était lancée.
Aujourd’hui je vous partage un volet de la pochette que j’ai réalisé pour cet EP. Ces images constituent l’intérieur de l’objet que vous pourrez retrouver à la vente lors de ses prochains concerts, dont la release ce mercredi 25 février (toutes les infos via le compte de @ddsinges ).
Depuis le début ça a toujours été un plaisir de travailler avec Jérôme.
Pour plus de projets qui font sens, qui mettent l’humain au cœur du processus, où écoute et douceur sont clefs.
