Every year the students from @daniela_kroehnert amazing and maybe singular pen plotting class called Analog Algorithmic Aesthetics @dieangewandte and part of @ddplab come to visit my studio.
I just went to help hang their final projects and check them all out and was amazed by their explorations and play. The most out of the box award goes to @leoleo.jpg for his pancake pen plot 🥞 😱 it made me hungry especially when he started to talk about future iterations involving Nutella.
They played with etching, water, CMYK, and more. They embraced their errors, saw the cosmos, and drew ghosts. So cool to see people new to pen plotting explore and so cool that @daniela_kroehnert teaches this class!

Students of Machining PRAXIS in Architecture I, investigated the possibilities of bending wood by implementing machining processes.
They developed KERF and cut-through patterns and learned about the behaviour of wood in specific sections and formations.
These investigations will be followed by the students of Mahining PRAXIS in Architecture II, for the design and making of a full-scale installation.
