The 3rd Annual Chicagoland Classic was hosted once again at Dwight D. Eisenhower High School in beautiful Blue Island!
The Chicagoland Classic features middle schools and beginner bands from the Chicagoland area who are looking to improve on young bands with excellent musical and educational experiences! Ensembles that had participated in this year’s event received exceptional critiques from clinicians and live adjudication to hone their skills.
Special thanks to the students of Eisenhower’s band and the volunteer parents as this event wouldn’t be possible without their help and support. Their commitment and passion to make every year special is what truly makes the Chicagoland Classic an amazing musical experiences for all.

The Dwight D. Eisenhower Band department experienced quite a shivering weekend yet they’ve spread the festive feelings for the holiday season. On Friday, the band conducted their yearly winter concert at the brand new theater. This concert included various band groups such as Chamber Ensemble, Cardinal Big Band and Symphonic. The bands performed repertoires to all family and friends who joined them at the concert. The following day, the Cardinal Regiment participated in the annual Blue Island Christmas Light Parade and spread the immense sounds of many Christmas tunes! At the parade, the band also had the privilege of Dr.Jacobson, the Executive Director of Student, Family & Community Engagement joining them in walking. We thank those who joined us and supported our annual Holiday journey here at our beautiful Blue Island!
