DCVIII is a Madison-based DJ collective built around one thing: a deep, genuine love of music. Spanning hip-hop, soul, funk, boogie, yacht rock, reggae, house, and well beyond, the crew brings together DJs with a wealth of knowledge across eras â and an ear for whatâs next.
Good records, good energy, and a commitment to making any room feel right.
Stay tuned â weâll be introducing the current roster one by one in the coming days.

DCVIII Vinyl Collective is BACK!
DCVIII Vinyl Collective is a Madison based, all-vinyl group pulling from soul, Motown, funk, and lesser known cuts that donât usually make it into the rotation. Their GlouGlou Wine Bar sets integrate global tracks from Japan to Lebanon. The collective leans into flow and texture, creating a space where the music sits comfortably in the room rather than taking it over.
As usual, we'll be pouring natural, organic, and family-owned wines - available by glass, flight, or bottle! In our cooler, you can find a selection of craft beers, sake, and N/A bevs.

Chris Fox | AKA Jean Le Duke
From house parties to main stages alongside the likes of Freddie Gibbs, Rusko, Dave East, Jean Le Duke commands any room he enters. His sets move fluidly through hip-hop, funk, soul, boogie, house, Afro, baile funk and a slew of rare edits â always cohesive, always high-energy.
What sets JLD apart is his instinct. He reads crowds fast, flips tracks on the fly, and turns any room â intimate or packed â into an experience.
DJ Coop There it is was born and raised by a musician in New Jersey. To Wisconsin she brings the respect of a groove and everything she has learned about the power of music! Cooper is the former host of Her Infinite Variety on 89.9 fm WORT and 5 time recipient of the Madison Area Music Association Award for Favorite Local Music Radio Personality. She has become known as THE Emcee/Host, engaging, inviting and inspiring the share of passion in the spirit of music. Her belief is that Music is powerful medicine, simple and truthful. She honors her role with the collective as music can without words, evoke our laughter, our fears and our highest aspirations.
Tom Johnson | Major Tom
Rebellion and joy. Thatâs been Tomâs compass since he first started paying attention to music. Drawn to rare Northern soul, the uplifting spirit of Jamaican music, and just about anything else the room calls for, his sets always chase that feeling: loose, free, and alive. He digs deep, but thereâs not a room he canât read or a genre he canât navigate.
Grant Pieters || GP
For as long as GP can remember, he found himself in spaces filled with music. It was also within those spaces that GP became cognizant of the transformative nature of music and developed a deep passion that still burns brightly. This is why GP revels in sharing music with others, helping to create spaces that are warm and inviting, without pretense.
With a foundation set in the vast spectrum that is soul music, GP also stretches across numerous other genres such as hip-hop, jazz, yacht rock, and house for his sets to help build an environment where people not only remember fondly the days since past, but also look forward to the times ahead.
You can find GP as part of the DCVIII crew with their residencies at Lolaâs, The Green Room, and Glou Glou Wine Bar, as well as their monthly live radio show on Washington Island Radio (WISL).
Andrew Schmidt | Thierry Ennui
Thierry Ennui loves a great tune regardless of era or genre, but what keeps him behind the decks is the hunt â and the chance to pass that feeling on. His sets are built around that moment: the track youâve never heard that stops you cold and makes you need more.
Rooted in groove and driven by curiosity, his sets pull from Northern soul, boogie, funk, Minneapolis Sound, Brit-funk, Japanese city pop, Italo and French disco, house, breaks, and well beyond â with a preference for vinyl and a bias toward the unfamiliar. If youâre reaching for Shazam, heâs doing his job.
You can find Thierry at Lolaâs every first Thursday for Global Grooves, with additional residencies as part of the DCVIII crew and a monthly live set on Washington Island Radio (WISL).
