In this day and age, it seems even more important to claim our truth and the power that comes with it. LGBT stories of perseverance, joy, and found family are what drive the stories I write as a screenwriter. The courage of those who came before me and the authenticity and bold audacity of those who have come after me are what give me the inspiration and the determination to press on, even when the world says no.
I am far from a poet, but I was inspired by the Poet Laureate, Amanda Gorman, and her mantra to write the following:
We are the children of queer ancestors.
Descended from truth-tellers
who dared to love and refused to disappear.
Who marched in daylight until the world changed.
We have always been here.
We have been kings and queens,
warriors, poets, and prophets.
For we have always been here.
We have shaped empires with our art,
bent nations with our music,
and loved each other in the shadows
until the light was ours.
For we have always been here.
We painted cathedrals, composed revolutions,
and carved freedom out of silence.
For we have always been here.
We are every race, every creed, every nation, every faith.
We are here, as we have always been.
We will not be silenced.
We will never disappear.

HUGE NEWS!!! My musical drama pilot, The Singing Sergeants, has been selected as a Top 10 Category Finalist in the Final Draft Big Break Screenwriting Contest! I am beyond humbled that the judges loved my work and that it continues to resonate with them. Loosely based on my time in the US Air Force, it's Glee in the military and a super fun gay ride! A huge thank you to all my mentors and fellow screenwriters for all the help and encouragement that got me here!

EXCITING UPDATE!!! Two of my scripts Second Rounded at the Austin Film Festival!!! AEGIS & The Singing Sergeants! This is the second year in a row that two of my scripts have placed simultaneously. I'm now officially a 5x Second Rounder at AFF! I'm beyond humbled and excited that the judges liked my work. I hope to make it this year to share in all the excitement. Further Up and Further In!

BIG UPDATE!!! I’m excited to announce I’ve signed with a literary manager at Sheree Guitar Entertainment!!! I’m officially represented!!!
