Some shoppers showed up at 3:30 a.m. for this. 👀🛍️
Hundreds lined up in Bowie for STRIPT’s (@striptofficial ) discounted clothing event with Goodwill of Greater Washington. Organizers say they saw at least 2,000 shoppers throughout the day as people searched for deals on more than 3,000 clothing items.
Founder Ari Davis, a DC native, says the partnership is about making fashion accessible while giving back to the community. #dmv #news #explore #fyp #trending #md

“Words hurt, but Richard Wright took the words that hurt and made them breathe life.” - David, GEC Student
Yesterday, @goodwillexcelcenterdc students experienced Black Boy, a powerful one-man performance presented by Literature to Life and performed by Actor, @tarantinosmith13 .
Adapted directly from Richard Wright’s book and directed by Wynn Handman, the play brought Wright’s words to life as Smith portrayed more than fifteen characters from Wright’s journey.
Through themes of hunger, knowledge, family, identity, survival, and racial injustice, our students were invited to reflect deeply on history, storytelling, and their own lives.
We are extremely grateful to Literature to Life for bringing this meaningful experience to our school!
