Honored to be invited to the SchoolTalks DC and DD Council’s internship Showcase where we witnessed the next generation of Disability Advocacy in action!

DC’s small business community is on the rise! 🚀 Learning about the right resources is key to building economic resilience, and DC Health Link and DISB brought the energy at the PowerUp DC Small Business Summit and Expo. Their support, tools, and insights are empowering entrepreneurs to grow, thrive, and level up.
I’m still holding onto this Deaf History Month moment. ✨
Access done right doesn't fade.
Two languages. One performance. Same emotion. Same rhythm. Fully shared experience.
This is functional equivalence—where access and artistry are one and the same.
Deep appreciation to @dcdddbhh and the DC Commission on the Arts for creating space for this Deaf History Month experience featuring Dreamgirls by @honestlyspeakingpresents .

Today marked a powerful moment in DC history ❤️
After 68 incredible years, Ben’s Chili Bowl not only continues its legacy, but celebrated its grand reopening after closing in July 2025 for renovations. Today, Mayor Bowser officially proclaimed May 1, 2026 as “Ben’s Chili Bowl Day” in Washington, DC.
Honored to witness such a meaningful celebration alongside an inspiring group of voices, including Spike Lee, leaders from the Washington Commanders, Rosemary Suggs of DSLBD, ANC representatives, the Ali family, and of course, the incomparable Virginia Ali, the heart and soul of it all.
A legacy built on love, resilience, and deep roots in this city. DC wouldn’t be DC without Ben’s
