💙 May is Foster Care Awareness Month 💙 Across Washington, DC, children and teens in foster care are navigating a lot of change…new homes, new schools, new routines. Despite these circumstances, they still need what every young person deserves: support, stability, and a place where they feel safe and valued. This month, we are shining a light on the importance of showing up for youth in foster care and for the people who support them everyday. We recognize the caregivers, foster parents, advocates, and community partners who continue to step in and make a difference. We are reminded that there’s a role for all of us. 💙 Learn more 💙 Get involved 💙 Support youth in foster care How We Show Up Matters! Today and every day. Thank you

💙Today is National Foster Care Day💙 Observed every year on the first Tuesday in May. Today, we take a moment to recognize the children and teens in foster care and the caregivers, foster parents, and advocates who show up for them day after day. Their consistency, compassion, and commitment make all the difference. It’s also a reminder that this work takes all of us. At Partners for Kids and Families, we see the impact of showing up in the everyday needs, in the moments that matter, and in the support that helps youth move forward with confidence and hope. If you’ve been looking for a way to get involved, this is your moment: 💙Learn more 💙Get involved 💙Become a Foster Parent How we show up matters, today and everyday for a child in foster care. #NationalFosterCareDay #FosterCareAwarenessMonth #PKFGiveBack #SupportFosterYouth

Every child deserves to feel special, but many reach their biggest milestones without anyone there to cheer them on. You can change that. Scan the QR code to honor a child’s hard work and help them celebrate their success. No matter how you choose to give, your support ensures that these life-changing moments don’t go unnoticed. Because every win big or small matters.

“You have to be a walking résumé” - Director Tanya Trice, @dccfsa During the MSS panel discussion, Director Tanya Price shared that her greatest leadership growth didn’t come from one single stretch assignment, mentor, or crisis moment, it came from consistently showing up prepared, skilled, and ready. Her message? Don’t just talk about your experience, embody it. Build the skills. Do the work. Carry the proof. #DCHR #Leadership #MSSWeek26 #ExecutivePresence #WomenInLeadership
