Long weekend of baseball that saw the Blaze enter bracket play as the sixth seed only to dominate on the mound and on defense to win three games against three good teams on the way to a late night championship celebration. Everyone contributed and played their ass off. Awesome to witness. LFG!!

Big Friday at the Catterson house! Quinn’s driving, Elle scored the go ahead goal in the Lincoln-Way LAX win vs Hinsdale Central, and look at Blue’s face.
Zach Bryan did not disappoint last night at the UC. Surprised how great he sounded live. Can’t wait to see him next time he’s in town.

Great weekend of baseball. Oliver and his teammates spent the last two days making names for themselves at a Cal Ripken tournament in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. The 11U Mokena Blaze boys (or Moneka Blaze as they misspelled it) took on teams from KY, OH, MO, IN, TN, and IL to advance to the finals where they fell just short of bringing home the championship. Overall they went 4-1 against tough competition and saw kids making plays, pitching lights out, and hitting the ball all over the field. Oliver had a strong tourney overall being named Player of Game in the first round of bracket play while going 7-for-13 from the plate with a bunch of runs scored, good fielding at 2B/OF, and four strikeouts pitching. Incredible to see this team’s growth over the years. Let’s keep it going!
Busy week at the Catterson household. Elle’s JV lacrosse season ended Tuesday, Oliver’s Blaze team won the local Frankfort tournament (got to pitch against his former team), and Quinn wrapped up 8th grade with a dance, Six Flags, too many sleepovers, and graduation on Sunday. Proud of them all. Great things ahead.
