Spent the past 7 days in Ghana. I’ve been hurt and healed. At first, I didn’t think I needed this trip, I was focused on building my music. But God had other plans. He wanted me to grow outside my comfort zone.
Seeing innocent children suffer through a life no one deserves broke me. We all know this reality, but seeing it in person is different. Alongside Compassion and Big Church Festival, we pushed to change that. At the same time, I saw pure, genuine joy. Not forced, but real, from both children and adults. That changed me.
I haven’t been at my best mentally, but that has changed. Bad days do not mean a bad life. There is light when you seek God. Just talk to Him, even if you are unsure. God paused my plans to show me there is more to life than what I’ve known. I’ve taken so much for granted, my bed, food, even a hot bath. Yet people with so little have hearts full of joy. That shifted my whole perspective. Do not just read this and forget. Put yourself in someone else’s shoes every day. You will find more peace in what you have. You are blessed. Choose kindness.
