The Scarecrow from The Wizard of Oz was always my favorite character growing up. When I saw Michael Jackson’s version in The Wiz, I felt an even deeper connection to his wiggly, expressive physicality. For this video, I really wanted to tell a story and bring that same energy to life through dance.
I was definitely nervous to try a different style, but I had an absolute blast with this one.

up until a few months ago, i spent a lot of my life living in fear of what other people would think about me. it was internally debilitating, though maybe i hid it well. so i got help, and from that help i’ve had a resurgence in self. i’ve been able to really hear myself and my voice, and not let how others perceive me get in the way.
i used to dream of being in the pop world, but never thought i could do it. as a kid all i did was listen to and watch videos of britney, michael, gaga, janet, madonna, timberlake, and beyoncé. i spent nights after school making endless music videos on imovie hd. i’ve studied these artists, and truly, this is the medium of art i love the most—the combination of music, dance, style, performance, videography, and storytelling. all the things i love.
i’ve started to make music. it began just for fun, and as time goes on it’s starting to feel more real. i’m not turning away from choreography, theater, or the art forms that got me here—it just feels like another layer being added, another piece of the puzzle forming my entire artistic self. maybe it’s in pop, maybe it’s a creative director, or just a choreographer, who knows really and why limit myself. but right now, i feel called to make music it feels so good
i’m going to share things soon. yes, i care less what people think, but i’m human, so of course i’m nervous. but i don’t want to live by “what if,” and i definitely don’t want to live by “i didn’t even try.”
so this is the beginning. music incoming. just more art, more life, more love, and always more dance ✨
