dBTechnologies has delivered a distributed audio system for Tequila Town Miami, a temporary 25,000-square-foot immersive, multi-room experience at Toledo Studios, where sound is treated as a continuous narrative element across a sequence of indoor and outdoor environments. “The sound system was built through a layered approach that scales loudspeaker type, placement, and processing to match each environment,” says Montana Masback, Concept Developer and Strategic Planner of Tequila Town Miami. Tequila Town positions sound as a structural element of the experience rather than an overlay. Smaller spaces maintain clarity and intimacy, while larger environments scale in dynamic energy without losing control, and transitions between rooms maintain spatial intent with tonal consistency. By integrating sound design from the outset, the project demonstrates a system approach where distributed audio, control infrastructure, and architectural integration operate as a single framework across a multi-room experiential environment. On May 2, 2026, @shorelinemafia brought their 'Back In Bidness' momentum to Toyota Arena in Ontario, CA, delivering a high-energy, bass-driven headline performance to a near-capacity arena crowd. Sound production was provided by @mixonesound with a full @dbtechnologies deployment built around VIO L212 main arrays and substantial low-frequency support, and the newly released VIO L1608 integrated across the system architecture. Designed for a modern hip-hop audience demanding both extreme low-frequency impact and vocal clarity, the system combined large-format output with distributed precision—leveraging VIO X206, L210, and L1608 elements for coverage consistency across the arena. MixOne owner and FOH engineer Spenser Bishop drove the mix through a high-SPL environment with strong crowd response throughout, reinforcing the system’s ability to maintain intelligibility and musicality under dense, sub-heavy program material. “The arena’s system was definitely due for an upgrade,” explains Steve Hollingsworth of Western Audio Visual. “The previous system was great when it was installed, but as the college grew and Roberts Pavilion started doing different and more elaborate setups, it was inadequate.” That evolution brought real challenges—most notably a large, highly reverberant space with hard surfaces throughout, where coverage gaps, lack of directionality, and insufficient SPL left portions of the audience without a consistent listening experience. The goal was clear: modernize the system to deliver full-range music, improve intelligibility, and create an environment that could energize a college crowd. Working closely with Western AV and GeerTech, dBTechnologies’ Andy Tindall helped design a system tailored to the space—one that could finally match how the venue is used today. Lollapalooza Chile 2026

At Lollapalooza Chile 2026, the scale was monumental—300,000+ attendees over three days took over Parque O'Higgins. The second Lotus Stage told a slightly different story: a space where local and emerging artists bring the unexpected, and where every set has the potential to reveal the next big star. That kind of environment demands that a system that is coherent and has a ton of headroom, so that it can keep up with anything that comes through it. Sound production provided by @chinosantanarefuerzosonoro with the support of @promusic_cl , a full dBTechnologies VIO system designed to handle continuous changeovers and a wide range of artists was deployed. The system configuration included 14 VIO L1610 as the main PA (7 per side), with an additional 4 VIO L1610 for sidefill and 4 VIO L1610 for outfill coverage. Frontfill was handled by 2 VIO X206, while stage monitoring combined VIO W12T and W15T wedges. Low-frequency reinforcement came from 12 VIO S218F subwoofers deployed in dual stacks with an inverted center array. The system provided coherence, even coverage, and tonal balance from the first act through the final set. Across the weekend, the stage hosted a diverse lineup including Quilapayún, Mau y Ricky, Claudio Valenzuela, and emerging artists such as La Caravana Mágica, and Niebla Niebla—each bringing their unique sound: “The system performed beautifully, regardless of genre or approach,” echoed Gabriel Ortega, offering support on site with dBTechnologies LatAm. The Main Stage system was deployed by @olavarria_sonido_oficial using a @dbaudiotechnikgmbh system —an incredible pleasure to share the festival grounds with such strong and well-respected companies.
