Today a lefty slider for finally broke Elliot’s no strike out streak, on a foul tip - but only after he did this the at bat before.
So proud of the way this kid keeps working and battling!
He also was part of a strikeout back pick double play behind the plate. 💪. On to the the next game!
Elliot has been playing hard and having a great time with his HS team.
This season so far:
7 Games
24 Plate appearances
.400 BA
.750 OBP
0 strikeouts
10 Stolen bases
4 caught stealing, 1 picked off, numerous outs generated, etc - has caught 37 innings and had 3 passed balls (one might have been a wild pitch, but I was keeping score and called it a passed ball).
So proud of him in his 8th grade year playing High School Ball!
Spent some time with the laser. Got them in the right place. I pushed back my SVS towers for the moment im sure they are coloring the sound some how, but not ready to pulm them out yet - they are heavy 🤣
First Impressions on the 420s - Spoiler, i like them.
1) They are flat. If flat wasn’t what I was going for I might even say they were a bit boring…but in a good way.
2) They are more “mid forward” than my SVS, but that doesnt mean they are wrong. 😉
3) the bass is nice and punchy.
4) they will go deep when you push them too!
I’m adjusting to the difference not only in speaker, but amplifier, and type - 3 way vs MTM with a built in sub.
All that said, I’m really looking forward to going on an adventure with these!! Tomorrow I’m going to do some work on them then compare.
I’m aware they aren’t yet in the optimal listening position - but I wanted to do some A/B testing first.
