The Brief was Simple ! Fun,Owambe, Genz,fun,Nigerian Urban Choir Vibes As the Music & Creative Director of the DBO Brand, I carry the vision, direction, and execution. But building legacy also means building people and creating a team that can bring the vision to life with me not because I CAN’T do it alone, but because greatness grows through collaboration. For the vocals&production I could always call mybaby @yinkaerinle & @dnathdrums , For the heart and energy of the performance, I had my Gees from waay back! From the very first idea to the final performance, this project was deeply personal to me. 🤎✨ I had the privilege of creatively directing and curating this beautiful cultural experience for @lushhairnigeria at the #amvcaculturalnight 2026 , researching, developing the story, writing the script, designing the performance structure, curating the movement, expressions, transitions, and even the hairstyles themselves. Every detail was intentional. This was more than a performance. It was storytelling through hair. Through culture. Through identity. Using Nigerian heritage, traditional aesthetics, rhythm, movement, and symbolism, I wanted to create a living experience that reminded us that our hair has always been more than beauty. it is history, pride, spirituality, status, artistry, and legacy. From the crowns of our queens to the identity of our tribes, every look carried a story. Projects like this are very special to me because this is the kind of work I love to do ,creating immersive cultural experiences that honour who we are while presenting it in a contemporary and emotionally powerful way.
