well the time has come, my short film elevate has officially been released and is NOW available to watch on @shortoftheweek ! thank you so much to everyone who i got to make this film with, it has been such a special journey. words really cannot describe how incredibly grateful i am for every person that has been involved. this film has taught me so much and i am beyond excited to finally have it out there in the world. hope you all enjoy. also, major shoutout to @iceln who wrote a great piece on our film and has been such a supporter of our film from the beginning. ok i’m not usually one for making long captions but this one felt necessary first off, i am super excited to share the news about my film getting selected to the academy award qualifying hollyshorts! only a few months in, this makes our 10th film festival for elevate, which i feel so incredibly grateful & proud of. let’s hope for more to come the next photos are from every past film of mine. including the first day of my first ever short, which happens to be almost exactly 7 years ago to the day that we premiered elevate….now this journey has been long & tough at times, but looking back oddly enough, i wouldn’t trade it for any other way. i know that there is still a long way to go with a lot for me to learn, but i just wanted to take a quick moment to thank every single person who stood by & supported my wild filmmaking aspirations over these years. you all are the reason i’m still going today. for ever grateful. and lastly, to those feeling frustrated on their own path…the very best advice i ever got was, “just keep going” love, dboom
