New York City claims to be a "sanctuary city" while factories that make uniforms and tactical gear for ICE are operating out of the publicly owned Brooklyn Navy Yard. Crye Precision receives tax breaks for their 100,000 square foot manufacturing space while they profit off of genocide and deportation. DBNY is asking New Yorkers to call out this hypocrisy and take action. Head of the Oversight committee, Shekhar Krishnan, has pledged to get ICE off of public land to enforce the city sanctuary laws. . In an attempt to cut us off from our community, we were recently targeted by Meta, who suspended and then disabled our account for over two weeks. We are grateful to comrades who continued sharing our events, and spoke out against this act of repression. At the same time, all of the big Palestine solidarity organizations in NYC were completely silent. We are a small grassroots campaign that has managed to successfully evict the weapons company Easy Aerial from Brooklyn, with a fraction of the resources of big organizations that have made no material impact on the ongoing genocide in the past two and a half years. As repression increases and fascists and zionists target us, it is more important than ever to join us, and help build a stronger movement against imperialism and weapons companies in NYC. Under cloudy skies and light rain, demonstrators gathered outside the Brooklyn Navy Yard at 11:30 this morning to protest Crye Precision, the tactical gear manufacturer headquartered within the complex. Crye Precision supplies head-to-toe military and tactical equipment widely used by Tier 1 military units, federal agencies, and law enforcement domestically and abroad, including ICE. The demonstration comes in the wake of a high-profile incident this past Saturday night, May 2nd, 2026, in which a Brooklyn resident was kidnapped and hospitalized following a confrontation between civilians, NYPD officers, and ICE agents that left multiple bystanders assaulted. “We have an obligation to build the capacity and militancy to respond to and prevent these kidnappings, and to kick ICE suppliers like Crye out of NYC,” said @dbny.now_backup , urging fellow New Yorkers to make their voices heard outside Crye Precision’s headquarters. What began as a peaceful protest briefly escalated when an individual emerged from the building and began antagonizing demonstrators. Shouting profanities and making his grievances known before retreating down the block. Organizers continued the protest peacefully following the incident.

As we witness the genocide in Gaza and violent colonization of the West Bank continue, imperialist terror against Iran, Cuba, and Venezuela, and ICE’s campaign of deportation and death, Crye Precision supplies ALL of it. Just on saturday night, ICE kidnapped a neighbor in Brooklyn, brutalizing and injuring him to the point where he needed hospitalization. When community members showed up to the hospital, the NYPD protected and assisted ICE with their brutal kidnapping, assaulting and arresting those trying to intervene. We have an obligation to build the capacity and militancy to respond to and prevent these kidnappings, and to kick ICE suppliers like Crye out of NYC. In the imperial core, next to the factories of death, we MUST resist and disrupt the imperialist war machine by targeting its supply chain. Our victory against Easy Aerial proves that we have the power to SHUT DOWN CRYE PRECISION. But it requires that we show up, escalate, keep our momentum, and allow NO PEACE FOR GENOCIDE SUPPLIERS. Participating in the supply chain makes it imperative that workers here take a stand against imperialism and support those who are subjected to its violence. Imperialism is the highest form of capitalism, the class war cannot be won without solidarity with workers in the Global South.
