Hi everyone 🙂 As I approach my 30th birthday coming up on June 27th, I’ve been thinking about what I truly want... And I want to go big 🏒🥅
If you know me, you know how much I love the beautiful game of hockey. Since 2019, I’ve been lucky enough to volunteer with @heroshockey - a volunteer-driven charity that uses hockey to teach life skills and empower marginalized youth across Canada. What keeps me coming back year after year is watching kids step onto the ice for the first time and fall in love with the game - especially those who might never have had the chance to play without support.
So for the big 3-0, I’m asking for a lot: I’m hoping to raise $3,000, enough to support three kids through a full season of HEROS hockey starting this fall.
- 86% of HEROS players’ families struggle to meet their basic needs
- 95% could not afford to register their child in sport without HEROS
- 40% are new Canadians
- 70% of HEROS families identify as BIPOC
Everyone deserves an opportunity to become a hockey player. If you love hockey, love me, or just straight-up love making a difference - it would mean everything to have your support. LETS FKNNN GOOOO 30!!!!!!! 🥳
