My heart beams for the freed prisoners, the mothers reuniting with their children, my dad and uncles who were stripped of their right to return for 40+ years, the displaced around the world who now have hope for the future, second generation Syrians like myself who have carried a quiet but painful longing for a homeland we’ve been unable to experience for 17+ years. I cant wait to return to a free Syria. Glory to the martyrs who I pray are watching over this moment from the highest levels of jannah.
