The Hoh Rain Forest, nestled within Olympic National Park, is one of Earth’s few temperate rainforests. Ancient trees reach skyward with their trunks cloaked in moss hiding the memories etched overtime into the 1000-year-old bark.
The clouds drift low, blanketing the forest in a mist. The rain, ever-present, whispers farewells when you leave— each drop a gentle reminder of the constant rhythm of change. When the rain pauses, sunlight filters through the mist, painting the leaves in hues of amber and jade.
Bidding farewell leaves you with a feeling of apolytus. Like the parting of clouds after a storm— ephemeral, yet meaningful and ever-changing.
