These pins were sitting in a bag in my closet. They are so beautiful and deserve to see the light of day! So I turned them into pendants for necklace making. Stay tuned for the final product! 🩷
Once a 1950s pin from Germany, now a necklace reborn 🤰🏻Made with citrine, green onyx, aquamarine, ruby and coral. hand strung from my heart on this freezing cold Saturday ❄️ cold outside is just a euphamism for crafting inside 💋
I loved studying in college. It made me feel confident and safe. as if everything were to come crashing down, I’d still have my grit, my determination, and an unnecessary amount of knowledge about 17th-century Parisian art.
I still carry that grit with me today in my career. It’s my mental fallback, the part of me that pats my tears, and tells me it’s all going to be okay because I’ll always have myself. A work ethic I can rely on. And it’s all my own!
Note to self: I am stylish in the summer. Come winter, I morph into a bag lady..same pair of Aritzia sweat fleece pants, same cashmere sweater from my grandma. This polarity, like clockwork, triggers an annual identity crisis. And yet, my bag-lady uniform feels like a quiet rebellion, a daily choice of comfort over taste. Maybe I’m not so naive after all.
xoxo, my nightly thoughts ❤️
