My Old Ways, acrylic 24x36.
Making this painting I couldn't help but reflect on nostalgia. Growing up I lived next to a farmer that grew corn for livestock and after the owner died it was chopped up into cookie cutter homes. The memory that stood out the most is seeing the movie 'Signs' and then later in the middle of the night having to go find my dog in the endless rows of corn stalks in the pitch black. While painting I dove back into the music that I loved from the early 2010s including Vampire Weekend, Suckers, Ra Ra Riot, Born Ruffians, and Heligoats. Dr Dog stood out the most and I kept thinking back to a free concert I saw of them at the Bethlehem public library in summer of 2009.
Everyone should check out @sideeyephilly . I'm grateful for them letting me show my favorite flower painting on a wall that really lets it pop. Great addition to the neighborhood with amazing food and the frosty mug for the best Budweiser pour in Philadelphia ($5 pour you can't beat). I swung by tonight for the steak fries, chicken liver mousse, and carrot rapees. The combo was amazing with beer and playoff sixers.
I started doodling some of my favorite places in Philly for a quick bite or a drink. Here's one I did @lorettasphilly . Thinking of making a whole series of these. Hit me up if you have any suggestions for places I should draw.

Pumped to be returning to @theintlbar for my fourth art show starting on 4/3. This one will feature some of my favorite western paintings Ive made recently and the crem dela crem aka SPAM.
'Propagation', 72in x 76in acrylic on hand stretched canvas. To date this painting has taken 55 hrs to create and the more I stare at it the more I see it as unfinished. For the last month my living room has consisted of a couch, coffee table, a kitchen table, and this painting stapled to the wall. Everyday I wake up early to walk Jim (see last picture) and then paint before the 9 to 5. After work I repeat the process before dinner and after the evening walk. I'm going to hang this one and enjoy it for the winter, once I finish it I'll l have it for sale at some future show. Also I can't fit it in a normal vehicle and don't want to rent a u-haul. Unless of course @topochicousa@topochicoalcus@topochicomx want to buy it in exchange for life supply or topo chico!!!
