We also provide Log color files, making color grading in post-production more flexible. We’ve thoroughly tested each function we’ve always wanted to try, and the scanner is now fully integrated into our daily workflow. - 데이포레코드에서 전하는 시간의 이야기 얼마 전, 한 손님께서 1959년에 촬영된 결혼식 필름을 가지고 데이포레코드를 찾아오셨습니다. 할아버지의 유품인 이 필름을 복원하여 다가오는 할머니 생신 선물로 드리고 싶다는 따뜻한 사연이었습니다. 60년 넘게 시간이 지나며 손상된 필름이라 스캔이 가능할지 걱정도 되었지만, 복원을 통해 두 분의 결혼식 장면이 생생히 되살아났습니다. 흑백 화면 속 빛나는 순간들을 보며 말로 표현할 수 없는 감동을 느꼈습니다. 6분가량 복원된 영상을 음악과 함께 편집해도 좋다는 손님의 허락을 받고, 이렇게 영상을 공유할 수 있게 되었습니다. 이 작업은 단순한 복원을 넘어 누군가의 소중한 추억을 다시 살려낸, 데이포레코드에게도 매우 특별한 프로젝트였습니다. 시간을 넘어 살아 숨 쉬는 기억을 보존할 수 있다는 것이 우리의 가장 큰 기쁨임을 다시 한번 느낀 소중한 경험이었습니다. - A Timeless Story from DayforRecord Not long ago, a customer visited DayforRecord with a wedding film from 1959. It was a treasured keepsake from their grandfather, and they shared a heartfelt story of wanting to restore it as a special birthday gift for their grandmother. Given that the film had endured over 60 years, we were initially unsure if it could be scanned successfully. However, through careful restoration, the wedding scenes came back to life with stunning clarity. Watching those radiant moments captured in black-and-white brought an indescribable sense of emotion. With the customer’s kind permission, we edited the restored footage into a 6-minute video paired with music, allowing us to share this beautiful story with you. This project went beyond simple restoration—it was about bringing someone’s precious memories back to life. For us at DayforRecord, it was an incredibly meaningful and special project. It reminded us once again that preserving memories that transcend time is truly our greatest joy. Thank you for letting us be a part of this remarkable journey.

From the bright and exciting moments at Lotte World to the emotional nighttime scenes along the Han River — their journey in Korea was beautifully captured on film. More than just a travel record, you could truly feel how much they cherished each moment together through the way they filmed. Watching the footage genuinely made us happy as well. We rented a vintage Super 8 movie camera from DAYFORRECORD, a film lab and café in Hapjeong. It was a day of bitter cold and sharp winter winds, but as always, in our ordinary date, we became each other’s one and only film director and actor. Neither of us had ever acted or filmed before, but as we laughed and looked at each other, we captured our raw, unfiltered selves in this small one-minute-and-thirty-second film. We hope it became a slightly special Christmas, just for the two of us. 25.12.25 Hapjeong, Seoul.

The places we’ve been together, the exhibitions we’ve seen, the time we’ve shared — I wanted to capture all of it on Super 8mm film. Unlike digital, film captures us honestly and raw, just as we are. What fascinated me the most was the sound. The real “chrrrrr” as the film rolls — it’s not simply about filming us, but the act of truly recording the present moment itself. I don’t think I’ll ever forget the day we recorded these moments. Super 8mm film was introduced more than 20 years ago, yet I find myself irresistibly drawn back to it, discovering its charm all over again. Thank you, Day For Record.
