Look 3 —“BENEATH THE BLUE”
Inspired by the calm rhythm of the ocean and the layered beauty of the Dominican gemstone Larimar, this piece reflects my journey of self-discovery shaped by Dominican warmth and Chinese calmness. Through soft lines, flowing shapes, and a palette of blue and gray tones, I explore the quiet balance between peace and emotion.
During the process, I experimented with fabric movement allowing it to flow like water, soft, layered, and reflective while combining structure and fluidity. The shaped bodice and flowing sleeves capture the essence of Larimar: strength within peace, and the harmonious balance of my two cultures.
