DAX-1 - Essentials
Raised with Spanish influences, DAX-1 developed an early sensitivity to rhythm and intensity, something that’s clearly present in his sets. The music he grew up around and through parties he immersed himself in as a teenager shaped his relationship with electronic music.
His interest continued to develop through artists like COIDO and RIOS, with early reference points including Bitter Babe and the Tra Tra Trax label. One moment he often comes back to is seeing Bitter Babe’s Boiler Room set in Madrid, first time seeing her perform still really influences his sound today.
Lately, he’s been experimenting with more bass-driven sounds. Less hectic, but still impactful. Through his event series @tempo.marauders with his friend Bongoat, he hopes to bring a refreshing dynamic sound to the spaces within the 0(20) scope and make people release through the noise they are listening to.
PUCHICA features him on this episode as he presents a high energy, bass-driven set.
DAX-1 brings variegated sets packed with Uwuaracha, heavy triangulating lows, and constant shaking energy. His sound thrives on tension and contrast, mixing unpredictable drops with forward-driving rhythms.
DAX-1’s PUCHICA set is online now on SoundCloud, Mixcloud & pipradio.nl
