September vibes are the best. A great start to the academic year! This marks year 30 of teaching! How!? Loving every moment with students, ensembles, and amazing colleagues. No pics of the kiddos but year 2 for Tim (U of M economics and business management and MMJHL Winnipeg Twins) and first year of high school for James (Vincent Massey Collegiate). So grateful and blessed! ❤️🎵

It is not every day you get to be in one room with most of your early childhood music education influences. Last week while adjuducating at the Rotary Festival in St. John’s I got to reconnect with some very important people. My very first band teacher (Gr.5) and piano teacher Elizabeth Brennan, Gr. 6 classroom music teacher, Susan Quinn, junior high band teacher and private clarinet teacher, Stephen Handrigan, undergrad band director and professor, Donald Buell and my music ed internship cooperating teacher Douglas Vaughan. Those formative years with these outstanding educators in this amazing province were gold and there is not a chance I would have chosen the career path I did without them. I love them dearly and will never forget their impact! ❤️🎶 #musiceducatorsmatter
