We’re back with another year of new voices and a month-long festival celebrating new work. Experience the new work of eight emerging playwrights at the #AmplifySeriesSix film screenings and live staged readings of the winners of last year’s #AmplifySeriesFive.

We’re seeking work celebrating the resilience, humanity, and unexpected power found in our daily lives. Send us the stories that remind audiences how bravery shows up in kitchens, classrooms, sidewalks, 9-5’s, and living rooms across the Southside and beyond.

*In a writing mood*…. Everyone knows the neighborhood Bronzeville in Chicago. But did you know Chicago is not the only city that has a Bronzeville? I am so inspired by the history that surrounds us. American history. A jazz revue is brewing.🎷

Did you know that every American genre of music was initially created by Black people? Did you know that Rock ‘n’ Roll was created by a black woman? That is what my play SHE ROCKS is about. That is what the American Music Cycle is about. More coming soon!
