Lighting and Decor began as a local business in Wangaratta. We create beautifully lit homes that feel considered, warm, and lived in. It quickly became clear this wasn’t just a local thing. The work resonated far beyond the region, but our capacity could only serve the local community.
That’s where Verandah (the guys behind @tilecloud & @yabby.com.au ) come in — to help me carry something special even further and bring our lighting business online.
I’m continuing the journey, still deeply involved, helping grow what I started.
Dawn is the next chapter for L&D.
Same care, but now with a wider reach and a bigger impact, so we can help customers Australia-wide.

We popped out to a local site where the lights are just about ready to come on, and the finishing touches are really starting to bring this home together.
This beautiful modern home has leaned into moody, darker finishes, creating such a warm, calm and grounded feel. With the darker floors and carefully chosen lighting, the fittings blend beautifully into the space by day, then become the feature once the lights are on.
And can we talk about that alfresco ceiling? Gorgeous lights, of course 😉 but that ceiling is a moment all on its own.
It just goes to show, features come in all forms. Sometimes it is the lighting, sometimes it is the texture, sometimes it is the way everything works together.
We cannot wait to see this home lit up. 💫🧡

Nearly twelve months in the making and we are finally at the stage where we can say, “Oh wow… she’s lighting up.” And honestly, beautiful feels a bit lazy for this one.
