Fresh off completing the London Marathon, our ambassador Dawit hosted a powerful Runners’ Recovery class for the community.
Big love to our partners Smartech and Healf for helping bring this to life.
Here’s to movement, recovery, and the people who make it happen 🖤
Honestly one of the best experiences I've ever had and confirms that London is the best city in the world! Finished 3:30:43 so just shy of the sub 30 that coach @emxnviral set out for me but I paid the tax for stopping to see all my amazing family and friends who showed up for me today, couldn't have done this without them.
London Marathon 2026 ❤️
Shout out to @newbalancerunning for making it happen🏃🏾♂️💨
We’re proud to welcome Dawit @dawit.abraham as a NOBU Pilates ambassador. ❤️
We asked him a few questions: 1. How did you discover Pilates?
“I was introduced to Pilates when I reached out to Marsha in 2024 to collaborate during Black History Month. As part of my role as Co-Chair for the Black Googler Network at Google, I wanted to host a class at Nobu Pilates which Marsha loved. After a number of collaborations together and many humbling pilates sessions later, here I am.” 2. What does movement mean to you in your day-to-day life?
“For me, movement is intentional. We all live busy lives, feeling as if we’re running at 100 miles an hour. Movement—through running, basketball, tennis, and now more so, Pilates—is my way of removing myself from that pace and switching off.” 3. What’s your non-negotiable self-care practice?
“I guess one non negotiable which I prioritize now more than ever is a good night’s sleep. I try to get to bed early and I’m constantly checking my Fitbit app in the morning to see my sleep score.” 4. If you could switch lives with anyone for a day - who would it be?
“Right now I would probably be Carlos Alcaraz. I’ve been in my tennis bag for a couple of years now and lucky enough to see him play a few times, what he’s achieved at such a young age is incredible.”
