Got a nice shoutout from @mononeon on the @questlove podcast @qls Mono talked about a lot of really cool things during this podcast, I recommend you check it out. He also talked about our upcoming duets album which is over 2 years in the making! This will be my 4th album with Mono, and we figured out recently, his 39th album.

The highlight of NAMM weekend for me was seeing my girl @sheleamusic perform our original songs on the big outdoors stage! With an all star band who sounded so good, @greg_phillinganes_live @donaldmusic28 @tallbassist and @tariqhakoni ❤️❤️❤️

2016. This tune is from my album which came out in 2015. It’s called ‘The Eye That Sees’. The concept with that album was to mix indian music and jazz piano. The result is an album of 6 original tunes with a great band consisting of Tabla, Electric bass, piano and percussion. It’s still out there on the streaming services, search for ‘Davy Nathan Quartet’. Thanks for listening yall

As this year comes to a close, I’m remembering the songs I wrote that came out this year. This one is a special one that I wrote for the artist @tayagaukrodger written with @trellatunes I’ve always loved this song, I hope you do too! ‘Taya - Simple Phrase’ Btw I was never able to post this song, it always got a copyright strike :/ so I took Taya’s vocal and played to it, hopefully it works!

The story of one of my favorite songs from Jingle Jangle! Making this movie with @davidetalbert was an absolute joy and we got stories for days, this is one of them. At the end I’m glad @philipmlawrence and I didn’t take that weekend off 😜 beautifully sung by @madalenmills From the @somaticsongwriters podcast

5 years to Jingle Jangle! The brilliant movie musical written and directed by @davidetalbert all songs written and produced by @philipmlawrence and myself. When it came out on Netflix in 2020 it was #1 in 76 countries for two weeks! And was translated to 32 languages. Here are some behind the scenes clips I never shared before. From working with the amazing @harveymasonjr @jasonwhiteco and @ebassman to rehearsing with @forestwhitaker and @ricky_martin . Also you’ll see me walking through the set as it’s being built, to recording an entire orchestra over zoom (thanks covid). The last slide is Phil and I improvising a song which never made it into the film. Hope you and your loved ones enjoy this movie this Christmas again!

To say I’m proud of this music is an understatement! @sheleamusic is truly one of the best musicians I’ve ever worked with and to create this body of work with her has been a great honor. A little bit on the sonic concept of this EP - Sheléa wanted to pay homage to the great records made in the 60’s, from Diana Ross, Etta James to Aretha Franklin. So on the technical side we knew that we had to record this album into an old tape machine, using only vintage microphones and vintage equipment. We had the whole band in the room playing together LIVE, add our beautiful orchestra and the @regiment_horns on top, and we had that 60’s vibe we were going for. And then one of the best voices I’ve ever had the pleasure to record and you got SPIRIT. Couldn’t have done it without the best musicians in the world - @stanleyrrandolph @pastorfunk @iamerickwalls @coryhenry @seanethetrumpet @leonsilva_onsax @studbonewilliams All strings arranged by @stevieblacke and myself. And thank you @chriswoodsviolin @ariana_solotoff @leahzeger for playing this music so well. And my co-pilot, engineer extraordinaire @archon.studio who provided the beautiful studio, recorded the whole record and mixed masterfully it to match the sound we were going for. Mastered by Peter Doell. All songs written and produced by @sheleamusic and myself. Thanks you for listening!
