Nothing ever prepares us for these moments... Last week, after my beautiful birthday celebration with so many that I love, my sisters and I found out that our dad passed unexpectedly some time over that weekend. I am still in shock and completely heartbroken. He was about to turn 70 this month. It's infuriating because he still feels so close like I could just pick up the phone and call him. Although tragic, I find comfort in knowing he is no longer in chronic pain hanging out with his dogson, Willy (Wilhelm VonDude), riding his Harley and romping through the Mojave desert on his dirt bikes, enjoying the beautiful monsoon weather of the Sonoran which he loved so much when visiting Phoenix, and I just know he's having an epic reunion with every last one of his late friends. Like probably most of us, he was in debt and was a retired civilian supporting one of my younger sisters. Having lost both our parents and grandparents, it's just us now. It's never easy to ask for help and most of us are probably in a similar position where we need to make our money last until the next payday but if you're able in anyway to help us, it would be so immeasurably helpful and we are so grateful. I'll share our gofundme in my bio for now. Thank you for taking the time to read a little about my dad, Fred, he was seriously the coolest. I appreciate this community more than you will ever know.♥️♥️♥️

a little bit of october, a lotta bit of NY. i painted that town red all over the place; walked a lot, danced a lot, dug for records, made some new friends & saw some old friends, saw actress, went to a david lynch-themed jazz night, went to an ambient church event & saw laraaji (!).✴️ came back full & spent but ready to celebrate my quarentañera w the help of my friends! i didn't get a quinceañera so thought it approp to use this photo from when i was fifteen in my track suit. it makes me laugh. i really hope to c u @thedirtydrummer on saturday!! cum early bc @meethesun goes on at 8pm followed by some of ur favorite artists & djs.🪩 luv davi, 💋💋💋
