Another example of how amazing the food is here in Colombia. Eggs straight from the farm, such a rich yellow color. You know these ladies were grazing pasture and eating what they naturally eat, instead of cheap processed corn feed.

In honor of the 2 year anniversary of photographing the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse, I’m resharing.
These are the best photos I’ve ever taken and was the thrill of a lifetime to capture 😃 I’ve gotta give thanks to @petermckinnon who captivated my interest in photo/video and learned so much from. He too got an AMAZING shot of this same eclipse. I highly suggest you go find it on his page. Greatest photo he’s ever taken too and that’s saying something 🙌🏼
We’re just over a year away from the “Eclipse of the Century” which totality will last an incredible 6mins 23seconds. There won’t be another eclipse like this for over a 100 years.
And the best part, the max viewing time will be in Luxor, Egypt. Yup, that’s right, a total solar eclipse with the backdrop of the Pyramids 👀

How it started ➡️ How it’s going
10 years ago, Sean and I won the VO Peeps International and National Scholarships and a brotherhood was formed. At this time, Cristina and I were wrapping up the Rate Guide. A week later I joined GVAA and a month later it was Sean’s turn.
What a wild ride the last DECADE has been. So grateful for this first opportunity that has blossomed into the career of a lifetime and has given me some of the best friends, correct that, family I could’ve asked for ❤️

Started going to the gym and of course, I walk there. It’s up a steep hill so it’s a nice warmup. It was leg day too 😭
But man, walking the hills here is making me strong 💪🏼
Such a change in lifestyle from my previous. I loved walking for exercise, but now I love walking for everything! It really changes the way you live life 🙌🏼
Had the old man booty check (for a second time this week 🤨) and during recovery got a little Spanish lesson deade mi amiga @danielasierravoz 🤣 So high on the Versed jajaja

Sooo, I got a booth!!
Kinda unreal but the pieces all fell in place and I was able to make a major investment into my business!
Since moving to Colombia, I’ve taken a break from VO to focus on getting settled and to build a new studio. There were som challenges in doing that right away, battling noise intrusions, limited access to certain products, and limited options to have broadcast quality sound.
Then with the help of mi amigo @solerdelaprada and recommendations from a few other friends 😉 I got in touch with Edgar at Mobile Wall @mobilewall01 a booth maker based out of Bogota.
The process was amazing and Edgar was always available to help with questions, adjustments, custom options, and helping to design the best layout for my space. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!
The guys came from Bogota to deliver and install the booth, as well as get things set up and make sure it worked.
Another great thing about Mobile Wall is how they construct their booths. They’ve been able to upgrade their process and materials used and now have acoustic testing that exceeds even StudioBricks 😳 And Mobile Wall gives you print out of the acoustic testing for your very booth certifying it exceeds ISO testing standards.

Housewarming party turned into a salsa class!! 💃🏽
Had a little house and booth warming party with a few friends last Friday and it didn’t take long for the salsa to commence!
No alcohol, but I made some tasty Colombian sodas made with soda water and fresh fruit like Lulo, Maracuya, Granadilla, y Huerba Buena!! We had some snacks too, don’t worry. What kind of a host do you think I am??!!

Ciclovia Domingo & a 5k PR!!
Got out for Ciclovia again this weekend and it was great, me encanta!! Felt really good so decided to try for a new PR in the 5k and CRUSHED IT!! 43:05 to beat my last PR by 1:55 😳 Guess all the hills walking here is paying off 🙌🏼
5k was one way, so walked a 5k back to the start, then was feeling frisky so walked another 2 miles more home. Total of 7.25 miles today (11.62 km) 💥

Found this great spot in my neighborhood that has so much variety of produce. Some great local fruit, different varieties of potatoes, lots of fresh veggies, and a bunch of stuff I honestly don’t know what it is and neither did the translator app jajaja
You can tell things came straight from a farm, nothing is cleaned or trimmed and prepped to look nice. Everything is fresh, roots included!
I kinda went overboard and the walk home, slinging a very heavy bag, was pretty rough 😂
Total cost was about $35 USD 🙌🏼🙏
