✨ Meet the Artist: David Tasker

David Tasker’s practice moves through distinct creative phases. He is currently focused on landscape painting in oil on canvas, turning his attention from well-known Isle of Wight beauty spots to quieter, less familiar corners of the Island.
Earlier work explored figurative scenes inspired by Greek myth and festival characters, reflecting a strong interest in narrative and the human form.
Alongside his painting, David is a committed life drawer. His experimental process often sees drawings evolve into acrylic paintings and he is currently working at larger-than-life scale on rolls of heavy cartridge.
David will be exhibiting new work at Wilberforce Hall in Brighstone, alongside four fellow artists.
