💜🧑🏼🚀 We’re back and we’re in London 🧑🏼🚀💜
Distant Memories of the Near Future returns after our amazing Edinburgh run last summer - and we’re going to be at the @arcolatheatre from 12-30 November.
Interweaving stories about love, consumerism and being human in a world of AI.
I’d love to see as many friendly faces as possible as it’s a fairly intimidating run, and frankly a LOT of seats to fill. So please come - the ticket link is in the bio!

📍The @arcolatheatre - Dalston
📅 Nov 12-30, 19:00 (15:30 matinees)
7 years since I stopping drinking.
7 years since I decided to celebrate with an annual self-consciously earnest post.
7 years since I failed to account for the relentless march of time I now have to confront in the form of these photos of an increasingly silver beard.
Anyway I always make myself share this NOT JUST because I’m secretly smug – but in the hope it inspires or helps even just one person. If I can quit, anyone can. Help is out there in many forms. There’s no one way or right way – just whatever way works.
As always, if you want to reach out don’t hesitate.
7 years since the best decision I ever made – as it’s led to all the better decisions since.
Side note; looks like I haven’t posted on the grid almost since my last one of these which is a damning indictment of 2025…
Maybe there will be more posts between this and the next one.
📸 @nikkiheathcote
Decided this deserves a place on the grid.
My play on sale in the National Theatre Bookshop - displayed just below fellow up-and-comer, Shakespeare. 💜🧑🏼🚀
This was a very sincere goal of mine and feel pretty chuffed to be amongst so many exceptional texts at such an iconic location.
With hindsight being on the cover *does* make me look a raging narcissist though…
6 years of not drinking today…
Ah yes, time for my annual “somewhere between self deprecating and smug” post where I celebrate another year alcohol free.
Haven’t managed to write a novel or get visible* abs yet**, but I am a lot happier and a better version of myself than I ever was with booze.
Change is easier than you think and my offer to talk is always open for anyone struggling.
Photo by @nikkiheathcote , who ✨selflessly✨got pissed last night to remind me what a mess it is.
*technically they are in an ultrasound
**this should not be interpreted as any indication of future progress
“Makes you glad to be living in 2024.”
The Guardian.
💜👩🏼🚀💜
The first nights are done - and the verdict is in…
And fortunately I can still show my face in public.
We’re on until the 30th so come and see for yourself.

We didn’t win - but we had a lovely time. I’ve been trying to think of a funny or maybe insightful caption but honestly I can’t.
So grateful to everyone involved in the making, supporting or seeing Distant Memories. And congrats to everyone who was nominated, a finalist or a winner last night. 💜
💜⭐️ Finalist ⭐️💜
This weekend is the Offies, and I’m excited, humbled and slightly confused to be a finalist for the New Writing OffFest award.
Up against two phenomenal talents so won’t be preparing a speech, but will celebrate the little wins regardless.
And any excuse to take a trip down memory lane for what was an amazing summer putting this show together with @killeenmesoftly
