Hit 5M Spotify streams and 70 songs in my catalogue this month and feeling grateful - not huge numbers but not small ones either. Always find it hard to believe there are artists, writers and producers who choose to invest their time and money in working with me on these songs. Monthly-ish cuts update! Had 5 tunes come out in the past few weeks that I was lucky to be a part of, details below. It’s angsty and dramatic and the cover art rips “Whiskey Wishing Well” @keeganraymusic - ✍️ w Keegan and @kevinniehoffmusic last fall, our first banger together of hopefully many to come “What Do I Do With That” / “Over Before It Started” @peterperesmusic - ✍️ w Peter and @samdavsmusic / Peter in prehistoric times (2021), the world has changed a lot since then but the songs are still fun/sad “Good Where I’m At” @alyssamariecoon - ✍️ w Alyssa, @michaelsaletamusic , @ralston_wells in Jan this year. Alyssa as always is a renaissance woman and self-produces everything, and the vibes are impeccable

Lil late but February cuts post! Had 4 tunes come out in Feb that I was lucky enough to be a part of - go check em out “idk her” @jennakaymusic - ✍️ w Jenna and @jakearthurmusic last year before Jenna went into studio for her EP. Always say no one should ever let me play a piano during a write cause the song will have way too many chords but hopefully they all work in this one. @eddiegore production is 💯 “Nicole” @trxvis - ✍️ w Travis and @ziggybeez in December. Had a toooon of fun in this write, Travis came in w ton of energy and could tell immediately this song was gonna stick the landing 💥 “Better Get Moving” @erikarollinmusic - ✍️ w Erika last Jan in English - that version will be out later! For now, y’all can jam to this mostly-French version which tbh I might like even more than the English one “Crashed My Car” @patrickjamesclark - ✍️ w Patrick and @richclokemusic a full 4 years ago on Zoom in my bedroom at Bathurst and Harbord (iykyk). Pat put it on his record a couple years back but didn’t release it on streaming till now! also he is doing a tour soon in Ontario so if you’re in that area go say hey

Catching up on some tunes from the past 30ish days I was lucky enough to be a part of! All these artists are crushing and putting out a ton of music this year so go listen and give them a follow “Hoodie” @iamhunterjordan - ✍️ with Hunter and @jakearthurmusic in the summer. I try not to play song favorites but this one was a 2025 fave of mine (and currently @nsaiofficial song contest top 10!) “Comets” @jmashmash - ✍️ w Jake in late 2024. Jake is a crazy all round singer/writer/guitar player/producer, this was on his recent record which you should go give a listen. This was the first tune we wrote together, shoutout @nymm.mgmt for the connection “Hellbent on Heaven” @emilyrichmusic - ✍️ w Emilie last summer and became one of both our faves, was cool to help her tell some of her story around religion “Bad Guy” @alyssamariecoon - ✍️ w Alyssa, @michaelsaletamusic @ralston_wells last fall. Also one of my faves I have out w Alyssa who is also a vv talented self producer/guitarist and crushes production here

Catching up on a couple recent cuts from the past month or so! These songs are very different but have lots in common 1) both with some of my favorite groups to work with 2) both on recently released records (go listen!) and 3) weirdly similar titles “Like Me Like That” @suckerpunchmtl - @zack.ouimet played the initial version of this song to me in the car when I visited Montreal last winter and I’ve been obsessed with it since. Thanks to the Suckerpunch guys for letting me help with finishing it up ✍️ w @zack.ouimet @terry_aint_so_scary @tgifred.wav @kylewmarchant @filipfranczyk @paulmarcrousseau “Hate That” @hobbssisters - Hannah and Lauren told @kellymckaysongs and I they had one last spot on their record, which I always love to hear, and this one fell out pretty quickly. It’s been a fave of mine and Kelly’s for a while now, @forestglenwhitehead makes the record sound awesome ✍️ w @hobbssisters @kellymckaysongs

Lucky to be part of a few tunes that came out last month! “Coming Home” @calliemcmusic - wrote this one with Callie and @ryansorestadsongs a couple years back and it’s on her album! If you like folk/trad leaning stuff you should give the full thing a spin, @davebrainard nails the production throughout “Talkin bout Tennessee” @sarinahaggarty - wrote this with Sarina and @kellymckaysongs last summer, I believe Sarina was dog sitting at the time and we also may have given the dog 25% “What I Need” @alyssamariecoon - wrote this with Alyssa, @michaelsaletamusic @ralston_wells a couple months ago! Cool different sound for Alyssa, who also is a badass and produces all her own stuff “Drink to Remember” @emilyrichmusic - Emily came to me earlier this year to ask if I wanted to help put some songs together for a new country project she was doing that didn’t have a name yet. This is the first Emily Rich tune, keep your eyes out for more 👀

Catching up on a few recent cuts from the past month! Swipe and read below: “Worse Than the Whiskey” @grahambedardmusic - wrote this with Graham early last year. Graham said he wanted to write something that touched on his experiences with alcohol and we both felt like it really connected. He has a killer voice and he and @jordanhonsinger crushed the track “Break in Them Boots” @andreajalonso - wrote this with Andrea and @thomasborrelli615 during the summer. Andrea said she used to do a ton of country swing dancing back in Idaho and I think we got something that feels like that 💃🤠 this one is a ton of fun to play, you might catch me singing it at a round sometime “Sweet Talker (Version Francaise) @erikarollinmusic - wrote this en anglais a while back with Erika and Zack Ouimet and Erika put the English version out earlier this year. I did not contribute to the French aspect of this version as I believe everyone else involved speaks more French than I do but it’s fun to have my first bilingual cut! “Under the Weather” @mariposabelle - wrote this a while back with the homies @richclokemusic and @elias.james and Eli surprised us both recently by dropping this under a whole new beach country project (Thanks Eli for cleaning up the 2nd verse). I had forgotten this song existed but I love it, really one of my favorite hook flips I have out. Go listen to all of these and follow the artists! They’re awesome and doing awesome stuff

Couple tunes I love came out the past couple weeks! “Over the Party” ✍️ w @maljohnsonmusic @briandonkersmusic - was lucky enough to be a part of the title and lead track of Mal’s new record. Mal makes awesome music which doesn’t fit clearly into any box and had a great time trying to crack this super weird idea (weird is a good thing) with her and Brian. I’m also a writer on track 2 “the circus” on this record which I’ve posted about before and am still obsessed with (@andrewpetroff production is killer on both) “Call It a Small Town” ✍️ w @kennaelpersmusic @kellymckaysongs - shocking that Kenna didn’t have a song about her hometown before because this one sounds so natural on her. Grateful she asked me and Kelly to write this feeling with her. Kenna has one of my favorite voices around, Kelly is one of my favourite co-writers, and this tune has been one of my favorites since we got it Go listen to both of these and the rest of Mal’s album! 📸: @alexskbrown
