@archibaldprize My first time entering and what a journey it’s been 🎨🥳 I asked @davidgenat if he’d be the subject of my piece after realising we shared a similar story of losing our fathers around the same time. That mix of vulnerability and the heights of his success felt right for something raw and real.
I stripped him back to almost nothing, carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders, somewhere between Sisyphus and Atlas 🌍🗿 Yet even then, there’s still hope in his eyes.
@davidgenat ’s resilience and refusal to give up have taken him to places most could never imagine 💫 It’s that belief in magic, that rare, beautiful magic life gives you every now and then. If you grab it, anything can happen.

As this Season of @survivorau edges to a close, I want to take a moment of appreciation for @davidgenat 👏🏽
Dave you absolutely DELIVERED as host this season, the presence you brought to set was inspiring and there was something special just knowing that you had once been standing in our shoes on the challenge mat yourself.
The work you put into the season off screen has not gone unnoticed either, with the time and energy given to us the players, the fans, the podcasters and the entire Survivor community - you’re a bloody legend!
A special highlight for me was watching you place the immunity necklace on @brookejowett for the first time - having a front row seat to that 360 moment was not lost on me. The flashbacks from that vertical maze in All Stars were so vivid!
The ship is in good hands. Thanks brother.
