TOYSOP RECORDS is all about trying out new stuff, so here’s yet another new project under our roof - LUCA.
This is a collaborative project bringing together a group of musicians contributing equally and independently to the music, each adding their own creative input and sonic identity.

We here at TOYSOP RECORDS are well and truly overwhelmed with excitement as we unveil our new project: DECAMP SATURN. Our bandleader extraordinaire Levan Javakhishvili joined forces with a mix of label veterans and new conspirators for a series of far-reaching improvisational sessions. New blood comes in strong: drumming powerhouse Giorgi Lomidze, bass architect Mariam Kubanski, the razor-sharp alto of Nini Valentinno and David Lomidze on drums cameo.
Long-time label fans will surely zoom in on the unfiltered chaos of Farchila and Avto G. Everything here is improvised. Unhinged. A self-immolating attempt at jazz. A nod to No Wave heroes (track 2 title, anyone?) Soundtracks for imagined space travel. Exactly how we like it. Hopefully you will too.

Here’s a video from a new TOYSOP RECORDS project operating under the moniker DECAMP SATURN. Levan Javakhishvili teamed up with drummer extraordinaire Giorgi Lomidze for a handful of sessions with friends. The lineup features familiar TOYSOP hands—guitar wildman Farchila and sax madman AG—alongside new faces: Mariam Kubanksi on bass and Nini Valentinno on alto sax.
This video documents the first session, recorded on a snowy afternoon on January 19. More material was tracked the following week, with the strongest moments assembled into a full-length album, out on TOYSOP RECORDS on February 25.

The Jetbird is a raw and energetic rock band blending garage grit with alternative attitude, driven by swagger, tension, and emotional honesty.
