It cannot be the case that the projects that get prioritized in Canada are those where a Premier threatens to leave the country.
Next week, I’ll be meeting with the Prime Minister to bring him a list of projects we can work on for the benefit of all Canadians. We will find a path forward, together — as Canadians.
More good-paying jobs. More opportunity for BC businesses. More revenue for the services families depend on.
Today’s agreement between BC, Ottawa and LNG Canada brings phase 2 one step closer to a Final Investment Decision — a project that could position Canada as a leading LNG exporter.
We’re building a stronger, more independent Canada. And BC is leading the way.
We’re building this province with BC workers — and today we’re investing in the next generation of them.
BC has 50,000 registered apprentices — the most the province has ever had. Our Look West plan provides $241 million in trades training that will benefit thousands across the province.
✅ Create up to 5,000 new trades training seats in 2026
✅ Cut waitlists for in-demand programs
✅ Increase per-seat funding across apprenticeship programs
✅ Better connect training with employer needs
These are good-paying jobs — paycheques that help British Columbians build a better future for themselves and their families.
The BC Conservatives want to cut these programs. I profoundly disagree.

When people ask how we manage everything in our busy life, I have a one word answer: Cailey. Happy Mother’s Day my love! And happy Mother’s Day to my mom, so grateful for 50 years of guidance and love to your wayward son.
Construction is now underway at all 8 stations on the Surrey-Langley Skytrain extension. A quicker commute will mean more time together for tens of thousands of families.
BC Conservative cuts would kill projects and leave commuters stuck in traffic. We won’t let that happen.
Langley City Centre to downtown Vancouver in just over an hour! Faster commutes, less traffic, a connected region. That’s what investment in BC delivers.
British Columbians are seeing women’s rights under attack in the US and they are worried about Trump’s copycats here at home.
So let me be clear: our government is expanding the scope of practice for midwives— including the ability to prescribe mifegymiso, the abortion pill.
We will always stand up for the access to full reproductive healthcare in BC.
Today we celebrated BC Beef Day at the Legislature. It’s a great reminder of the incredible farmers and ranchers across this province who feed our families and strengthen our economy.
BC beef is world class and buying it isn’t just for the quality, it’s about supporting jobs, rural communities and people who make this province run.
Always a pleasure to meet with Ken Kalesnikoff. Even amid challenges facing BC forestry, companies like Kalesnikoff are doubling down — building North America’s first ever pre-fabrication and modular mass timber facility right here in our province.
That’s the future of forestry. World-class wood products, made in BC, getting to market, and creating good-paying jobs.
Our government is committed to doing our part — unlocking fibre, finding new international markets, and creating conditions for greater investment.
With the Look West jobs plan, British Columbians are punching well above our weight.
Last year our economy grew faster than the national average — with another $88 billion in proposed major projects. We’re driving growth for Canada.
How are we building this momentum?
By bringing together communities, companies, and Indigenous people behind good projects that help everyone. And it’s working.
The BC Conservative plan means conflict and projects stalled in court. That would kill BC’s momentum.
Let’s keep building a better future for everyone.
