This one was super fun, exploring large scale interior locations and trying to push dramatic performance in purposely extremely closeup shots.
Following a terrifying first encounter with an operative from a rogue splinter cell calling itself “Chimera” Detective John Graves begins to question the very nature of his own reality. As the city’s police station descends into total chaos with the entire cloud infrastructure under siege by an unknown cyber attack, John races to uncover the truth. But when he reviews the footage from the interrogation room incident, he discovers something unsettling.

This was a particularly fun episode to direct and produce, with a strong focus on crafting engaging, nuanced performances, pushing the acting to feel grounded and compelling.

MEET YOUR MAKER - One of the most exciting things about AI filmmaking is its iterative nature.
In March 2024, I wrote a treatment for a story that was meant to become a new issue of OTHER WORLDS, a sequential art piece in printed magazine format. Around the same time, I composed a heavy metal track inspired by late-’80s anime opening titles and massive kaiju battle sequences. The project never truly saw the light of day and quietly sat on my hard drive.
Then in June 2024, Luma AI released its first video model, Dream Machine, and that same story evolved into the first teaser for “Meet Your Maker”.
Now, revisiting that world again with Dreamina AI Seedance 2.0 as a fast-paced vignette scored with that very same track.
Deeply inspired by the ethos and punk rock attitude of late ’70s and ’80s anime (Daitarn 3, Daltanius, Mazinkaiser Z) this piece is a tribute to a substantial part of my childhood. But it’s also a clear example of how technology doesn’t just enable world-building, it enables new formats.

OK, we got a really cool new toy to play with, so I wanted to put @klingai_official 3.0 through the ringer.
Specifically I wanted to pressure test character consistency, environment continuity, and the reliability of the multi-shot workflow. Most importantly, I wanted to evaluate the realism of the performances, the subtlety of expression, the emotional range, all done in the purposely corny and over the top 80s/90s horror style a la Sam Raimi.
“Emily: The Dark Within” is a story I originally wrote several years ago as a 3-issue limited comic book series. And if this initial test proves interesting enough, the plan is to further develop “Emily” into a series of three short episodes.
