Last week I had the opportunity to participate in a three-day symposium that offered the American public a direct and compelling window into the realities of war in Ukraine. Its value came from a combination of voices: Ukrainian warfighters and UAV operators; senior Ukrainian and U.S. military leaders; civilians living under constant Russian attack; and the father of an 18-year-old American volunteer fighting on the front lines because he believes in “liberty and justice for all.”
A Kyiv native civilian who remained in Ukraine during the most intense periods of the invasion gave a heart-rending presentation with a human dimension beyond military operations. Rarely has such a powerful mix of operational experience, strategic judgment, technological insight, and human testimony been brought together and shared so directly with an American audience.
For more on this symposium and the opportunity to help Ukraine fight for the liberty and freedoms that Americans also hold dear, and to combat the tyranny, war crimes and injustices perpetrated by Putin and the Russian military, check out the Ukrainian Freedom Fund website: /
I was honored this week with a couple of pics from Ukrainian F-16 pilots of my name and that of the Mitchell Institute for Aerospace Studies on bombs headed to Russian targets. Waiting on BDA, but I'm certain they hit their mark! Slava Ukraini!
