While painting, I move through different stages, and some traces of those stages remain visible in the final piece. I like leaving parts of the process in the work.
This is a close-up of Tänzerin I, painted in 2024. You can see moments where I experimented with the placement of the head and feet throughout the painting process. For me, painting feels like a constant back and forth — a dialogue with the work itself.
