The ride has been nothing short of an absolute rollercoaster. Will forever be grateful to music and our artists for pouring themselves into every song.

a few hours ago my dad handed me an old box of mine filled with stuff from high school and college, around 2007-11. in that box were tons of flyers from my early days of djing plus some random merch I used to give away for free promo. ⠀

In this box, most importantly, was this piece of paper above. ⠀
⠀
I had wanted this company for so long to rep me and at that time knew it was the absolute best fit and felt completely confident they would take me on. They coldly passed and I remember that feeling of rejection like it was yesterday. I was so fucking upset !! ⠀

Anyhow, I ended up printing the rejection email and spray painting the @mindofagenius logo on as a middle finger to say one day I’ll get there. This letter was pinned next to my computer screen for 6 years straight after that. ⠀

Point is. We tend to forget how long things take. And how much rejection and unwavering belief is needed along the way to success. As a reminder, not only to you, but to me as well.

Last night was special 🍵 Hard to put it into words, but coming together simply through the love and pursuit of music is something that just never gets old. We came together with the beautiful @beatcave.ca community from Canada to connect with the artists of Los Angeles - and it was truly incredible to see artists from all walks of life come together and connect in such an intimate way. From the beginning of the night, magic was in the air. Kicking off the night with drinks from @officialbelaire@sprite and @redbull and the freshest 🍃 from @shastaflowerandhashco , was an incredible start of the evening. We transitioned into the panel portion of the evening with our amazing panelists @daviddann and @markell_casey , where they shed light on some of the difficult intricacies of the music industry and executed an amazing Q&A with the artists in the room. The rest of the night was pure community - connecting, becoming friends, growing and learning more about one another. As always, we are so beyond grateful for each and every member of this family we are growing here. We cannot wait to continue throwing events that bring us together, and bringing more unforgettable energy and vibes throughout 2026!
