(re)Play opens today! Here’s me interacting with “Open Architecture,” one of 4 new interactive sculptures in the show. Up until Feb 24 at the @dowdgallery at @sunycortland I will host a communal / sculptural weaving workshop on Feb. 15 and give an artist talk on Jan 31 online. Stay tuned for more photos and programming details including 2 lectures by exciting academics on Art, Play, Sports, and Gender.

I made these pieces after a recent experience where I realized that the top and bottom halves of my body don’t talk or listen to each other most of the time. I heard my bottom half say, “you don’t listen to me, you tell me where to walk, to go faster to run over here and there - but I know things too.. listen to me, I have power and I care - let me be part of this too.” See Top and Bottom, 2026 and vital work by many other @whiteboxny alumni in Re-Union - opening this Saturday literally in the @mta - right above the 42nd Street E/A. The setting is significant to me - as the subway is a place that New Yorkers play with embodiment, proximity, movement, collectivity, and the flow between self and other. Curated by @juanpuntes and @yohannamroa 🙌🙌 I’ll be at the opening (in whatever state of wholeness I’m in) from 5:30-7pm Saturday or so.
