Here’s the first video from the TANK! Susan Platz and I are performing “Paddy on the Turnpike” at the TANK Center for Sonic Arts in Rangely, Colorado. This recording was made during a day of music and exploration in celebration of Todd Barton’s (and my) birthdays. This West Virginia tune was learned from the playing of Lee Hammons and Jimmy Triplett. The TANK is a sonic space that boasts a 40-second natural reverb. Cheers!

I was inspired years ago from a recording of this funked-out Sanford Kelly (KY) fiddle tune by Gerry Milnes. I recorded it on my CD “Big Fancy” with Chris Berry’s killer guitar. Here’s the solo and evolving version of this old-time masterpiece. I think it has grease in all the right spots. Cheers!
