This robin was quite the ham. What actor/character does he remind you of? Here’s my list:
1. Head shot
2. Igor in Young Frankenstein
3. Burgess Meredith’s Joker, or Christian Bale’s Batman
4. Robert De Niro, Taxi Driver
5. Bill Murray
6. Denzel
7. TBD
8. John Travolta, Saturday Night Fever
Birding workshop at #hornerpark with @chicagophotoclasses@birding_expedition_experiences
Final homework for Street Photography. I found my sweet spot shooting with my 100mm lens on the @chicagocta - I’m thinking about how to turn this into an ongoing project. Appreciation as always to @chicagophotoclasses

The assignment: make a black and white photo in the style of fine art photography. Again inspired by @alan_schaller and grateful to my #streetphotography_bw class at @chicagophotoclasses
“Marty” - I stepped onto the train and started adjusting my settings when I heard “Hey photographer!” Marty told me he’s a photographer too, and we chatted about gear for a bit. Then I asked if I could make a portrait of him (this week’s assignment: take a street portrait with consent). I pushed the edit way past my usual comfort zone with encouragement from @rule_of_shadow and inspiration from @alan_schaller #streetphotography @chicagocta@chicagophotoclasses@streetphotographyinternational
Outtakes. A few CTA images I like that didn’t make the cut for this week’s homework series. #streetphotography #chicagotransitauthority #enroute @chicagophotoclasses
Street Photography Week 5. This was a good photography week. Well, it was a bad 6 days and a great Day 7. I enjoyed drawing inspiration from Saul Leiter and following @rule_of_shadow ‘s assignment to stretch and try many approaches in editing. This is the three I presented for homework - I have a few more I like coming in the next day or two. @chicagophotoclasses

This workshop has never been offered publicly before.
“We’ve collaborated for 12 years now — but we’ve never offered a public workshop together before. In Miami, we’re excited to share a glimpse into our collaboration on Port of Entry and the ways that Third Rail Projects and Albany Park Theater Project each bring their own methods and practices that complement one another so well — joining our strengths to generate something truly distinctive.”
