On Tuesday night, the UCLA Pro Palestine encampment was attacked by a violent mob of pro-Israel supporters wearing white masks and hurling racial slurs. The mob fired fireworks into the encampment, sprayed them with chemical agents, dragged unarmed students from the encampment, and BEAT THEM WITH METAL POLES to the extent that many students required hospitalization. The Pro-Palestine protestors had been following a strict rule of non-violence, non-engagement, and they even taught de-escalation in their meetings. Nevertheless, they were assaulted by this mob of roughly 200 people for hours as campus security stood by and watched and the LAPD did not bother to intervene for hours. Yesterday many of the victims spoke at a press conference on UCLA’s campus, describing the injuries they sustained and the unwillingness of authorities to help them. A UCLA press release condemned “violence” yet refused to make any distinction between the attackers and the people being attacked. This was a violent assault on unarmed students which, let’s be honest, would no doubt be categorized as “terrorism” if the attackers were Pro-Palestine rather than Pro-Isreal. Nevertheless, much of the news media has called it a “clash between protests” as if all are equally culpable. One can’t help but be reminded of the civil rights era in which many in the mainstream media suggested that those who marched with John Lewis and MLK were the true aggressors as they were beaten with billy clubs and bitten by police dogs.

Unsurprisingly, the media characterizations of "chaotic antisemitic protests" on campuses are untrue. I took these at the USC Protest for Palestine on Wednesday. Campus security assaulted a small group of peaceful multi-faith student protestors. Then, well over 100 LAPD officers surrounded the remaining students whose only crime was standing in a circle holding signs. This then caused hundreds of additional students and faculty to surround the LAPD as they arrested the students one by one for the crime of "not dispersing." STUDENTS WERE NOT SUPPORTING HAMAS and the protestors included many Jewish, Christian, and non-affiliated students. It was a beautiful sight to see so many people of different backgrounds standing against genocide and it's disgusting how the media continues to misrepresent these protests as part of their larger complicity in an ongoing massacre. It's also not surprising that mainstream outlets have chosen to cover this instead of the two mass graves found in Gaza in which corpses were zip-tied (some wearing hospital scrubs); clearly indicating summary executions. #gaza #usc

Hey everyone! In honor of Halloween, I'm proud to release this I wrote and directed on Vimeo (/640140338). Please like and share if you're willing so we can qualify for a Staff Pick. This is a very personal project that I'm currently working to adapt into a feature film and graphic novel. I also had a great time exploring my passion for VFX on this one and I feel so privileged to have worked with such an amazing team.

I had another great experience making this piece of official art for the group @officialvisualeyes . Love the psychidelic vibe of their music (I’ll link to the single when it drops). Thought I’d take a break from swords and try something else. Here’s a Blunderbuss I modeled in Blender and textured in Substance Painter. I have a special place in my heart for the blunderbuss because it is the most awesomely ridiculous weapon ever created. It’s as if one drunk guy tried to describe a shotgun to another drunk guy and then the second drunk guy went home, smoked some meth, and decided to try to build his own shotgun out of random stuff in his house. I gave it a “garage” background to go with this backstory. Special thanks to @grantabbitt for his awesome tutorial on creating a low polygon version of this weapon. #3dmodeling #digitalart #digitalillustration #palestinianart #palestinianartist #cgi #vfx #vfxartist #blender #substancepainter #3dart #weaponart #guns #weapons #blunderbuss #scifiart #scifi #fantasyart #fantasyart #palestinianartist #palestinian

Another render of the lightsaber I made for May 4th. Happy May 4th! I modeled this in Blender and used it as an opportunity to learn Substance Painter so I could do a better job with the textures and give them the worn look we’re used to with Star Wars. I’m not in love with the actual blade effect but hopefully, I can remedy that in future renders. #may4th #may4thbewithyou #blender #substancepainter #digitalillustration #digitalart #cgi #3dmodeling #lightsaber #sword #swordartonline #scifiart #scifi #fantasyart #fantasyart #palestinianartist #palestinian

I once had a collection of arabic daggers so I figured I'd try modeling one. This isn't based on a specific dagger but sort of an amalgam of some of my favorite features. Thanks to @grantabbitt for a great online course. #arabic #palestinian #3dmodeling #digitalart #digitalillustration #palestinianart #palestinianartist #cgi #vfx #vfxartist #arab #desert #daggers #swordartonline #swords #weaponart #middleeast #middleeastern
