Tonight will mark the end of the live performances of my new film ‘this rented shell’ and it’s been so special to be able to share this piece with so many, and be able to speak with so many of you after the shows :)
Next week it will run as a stand alone film all week at 6.30 at @sat_montreal
Thank you to everyone who came to see the show it means the world to me.

Les spectateur·rice·s ont pu assister à une exploration poétique de la mémoire par l'artiste David Gardener. Poésie récitée, images évocatrices et design sonore s’entrelacent à l’animation pour créer un espace immersif où la mémoire se ressent autant qu’elle se voit.

Last night was the premiere of This Rented Shell in the dome 🐚
The audience was treated to a poetic exploration of memory by David Gardener. Recited poetry, evocative images, and sound design intertwine with animation to create an immersive space where memory can be felt as much as it can be seen.

David Gardener, artiste et musicien britannique, relie les disciplines classiques de la philosophie et de l'art traditionnel aux technologies modernes. Son travail vise à offrir aux humains des expériences significatives et tangibles, transmises par le récit de chaque œuvre.
À sa quatrième visite à la SAT, il revient là où il a déjà signé trois projets forts: Orbits (2017), Empty Vessels (2019) et Grandma’s House (2022). Nous sommes très heureux de l’accueillir à nouveau parmi nous!

David Gardener, British artist and musician, joins the dots between the classical fields of philosophy and traditional art, fusing them with modern technologies. His work aims to give humans meaningful and tangible experiences delivered through the narrative of each piece.
Now in his fourth visit at the SAT, he returns to the place where he has already created three powerful projects: Orbits (2017), Empty Vessels (2019), and Grandma’s House (2022). We are very happy to welcome him back!
