There are no words to describe our feelings on the loss of our friend Alan Yentob.Thank you Alan for giving us all so much.We will all miss you so much.
A wonderful occasion on Thursday in New York at the topping out of the new Rolex tower. Congratulations and thanks to everyone who has been part of this effort and for achieving such quality.Looking forward to next visit.
The architectural community has lost a great champion, and Berlin the person at the heart of its architectural culture. Kristin was central to any discussion about the city and always infinitely generous with her energy enthusiasm and insight. Through Aedes she bought the world to Berlin, and Berlin to the world. All those lucky enough to have benefitted from her advice, support and counsel have lost a much-loved friend. Evelyn and I, and everyone at DCA, will deeply miss her.
David Chipperfield and I have been friends for so long, this morning I had to ask him when we met. He reminded me it was in Paris. Richard was building the Pompidou and David was a student. The light has shone bright since then for this Pritzker and Stirling Prize winner.
A few months ago, David asked me to support the work the work that his foundation is doing on the food markets in Galicia, their crucial role in sustainability, the economy and culture. And so here I am, in north-west Spain, about to talk to him in front of an audience for a special live event.
David's introduction to Galicia was 33 years ago on a visit to Corrubedo, a small seaside village, where he and his wife Evelyn created a home. Now they have a small bar in the middle of the village.
David is as passionate about Galicia's farm-to-table culture as he is about its people. For him, it's all part of the same conversation. Conversation that I am so excited and grateful to be having here with him in Casa Ria.
Ruthie's Table 4: @david.chipperfield - made in partnership with @moncler - is out now.
Early on in our research at Fundación RIA it became clear that improving the built environment of the coastal towns of Ria de Arousa would require us to look beyond the conventional confines of our architectural territory and confront issues such as traffic.
We are thrilled to see the beginning of the improvement works on the AC-305 as it passes through Palmeira. This milestone marks the materialisation of a shared commitment to safety and the quality of public space, rooted in a genuine concern voiced by the local community.
Our deepest thanks go to the Consellería de Vivenda e Planificación de Infraestruturas of the Xunta de Galicia— and in particular to Conselleira María Martínez Allegue and Francisco Menéndez, Director of the Axencia Galega de Infraestruturas — for their trust and determination throughout the process.
The project now underway, developed by NAOS arquitectura and TECYP, is based on a strategy defined by Fundación RIA and seeks to bring about a small but meaningful transformation — one that places people at the centre of our towns.

Thank you @ruthierogers for coming to Casa RIA and participating in our series of events on the importance of the Galician food markets and their role in the whole food ecology of the region. Having championed Italian regional and seasonal cooking for more than 30 years, her presence here and the talk she gave in Sala RIA was moving and encouraging to us all.
We’ve been lucky to have many great talks and lectures here over the past last few months, including an inspiring lecture by @carolynsteel.sitopia , to accompany our current exhibition and public programme on food markets.
Thank you again Ruthie, and congratulations to the Casa RIA team, @fundacionria and @acantina_ria for such a fantastic evening.
This is the office of our colleagues in Kyiv. They work here every day in spite of their office being bombed before Christmas. This week they finally got some windows replaced but they also got the news that America is no longer supporting them.We are encouraging them to be more grateful to Donald Trump and suggested that they take more care about what clothes they wear.As Donald Trump says they don’t hold all the cards at the moment.Good reason to abandon them? I thought that’s exactly when you help your friends. We can’t begin to understand how they manage with the physical and emotional strain over all this time with such spirit.I guess the odd round of golf must help. Our thoughts are with our friends at Kovalska head office.
