On Saturday we had a big studio day doing something we have been wanting to do for at least a year and FINALLY got round to it!!! We invited @davemc3bee down to our studio to lay down some vocals on a track we have been working on with him specifically in mind. Since I’ve known Dave - I have always wanted to work with him on a track and now it’s finally happening and it’s all very exciting! I know some of you travelled from as far as Devon, Somerset, Bristol and London to come. Times are really hard for people at the moment - lots of us have never been skinter but you coming enables us to continue to build this and will mean we can keep doing more in the future and bringing exciting artists into our small but vibrant city and keep platforming disabled artists who deserve their talent to be seen and heard. Lots of fun and creativity happening in our weekly DJ sessions with @_ash_dj & @davemc3bee at the moment. We have big plans for our next 3 @groovejunctionevents parties that are scheduled next year in Spring, Summer & Autumn and there’s loads of exciting things happening in the background as Groove Junction takes a break for the winter months. MC 3 Bee is working on new lyrics and we will be going into the studio this winter to produce our debut track together. Ash is becoming more and more confident all the time and our goal is for Ash to gain further independence with the technical side of DJ’ing. Her connection to the dancefloor is very powerful and one of the most important aspects of being a great DJ.
