10.10.25 ♥️
One month since I married my best friend, the most amazing day celebrating with family and friends
A huge thank you to the incredibly talented @zoeardiffweddings for capturing our day
Very privileged to be doing this stage for such a long time, and be surrounded by all the incredible talent that helps me bring it together. The best team, the best sets, yup the HR department, Good luck, babe.
I made a promise to someone I’d start posting more work, so I’ll start with one very close to my heart.
I was the Producer on the music video for @forthoseilove powerful return “Of The Sorrow”. Something I get to say with great pride, not just because the song is incredibly important and resonates back through conversations we’ve been having for a good while. But because I also got to work with one of my best mates.
This project is much different than many of the things I produce, it was a lot more loose in structure to allow for moments of inspiration, collaboration, trial and error, all to just capture something beautiful.
We started Day 1 of filming on Christmas Day, extremely light on equipment to be agile and get as much as we could done. I think I was expecting Cillian Murphy in 28 Days Later, it was far from it, town was hopping, but luckily we’d get these lulls which allowed us to capture these amazing shots of an empty Dublin.
Day 2 was a couple of months later in what I would consider Bear Grylls territory, but was realistically about 40 minutes out of Dublin. Also the day with the least amount of wind in Irish weather history, which was ideal when you have a person wrapped in a shroud to catch the wind. In many of the scenes just out of frame I was crammed into a bush trying to elevate the cloth to catch the wind. A few scratches being the worst injury that happened that day.
A huge shout to the amazing actor @wesleydillon . Trooper isn’t the word. From walking blind across the marsh and puddles and sudden drops, to chasing full pelt after a camera out the back of my car, take after take. If someone told me before the shoot that someone was breaking their leg, my money was on you pal.
It wasn’t without its challenges and an unfortunate hospital visit (I still think he could have got the last shot). Beautiful days and experiences with great people and a piece of work at the end that lived up to the story of the song. Balfe has a fantastic video on his page breaking down the insane post work that he put into it to truly bring it to life and some news coming soon.
Another year at the reins of the incredible @heinekenireland stage at EP with @thinkhouse . Continuing to deliver amazing experiences, whilst still holding ourselves accountable with low draw av, round the clock energy monitoring and reporting to name just a few, for a more sustainable production. I was very lucky to have a hard working, hilarious dream team of @alicedefro@andymynes@seananor@aimee_mcgrath24@lornakforsyth@callumbuchanan9 & @rosskellydj , and always grateful to @nosleepclub.ie for the support. @serdih for the unreal visuals. A huge thank you to all the DJs & acts that played and everyone who came and danced x
From the interactive visuals that were created through crowd movement on to a cube of Led, to a stunning tunnel with over 80 individual pieces, a lot of hard work, from a lot of people went in to making this event and I’m so grateful to all of them. Club culture is creativity and innovation in its purest form, through expression in music, design, tech, art, fashion and so much more. Yet, Dublin continues to remove the spaces that raised me and given me the people closest to me. Anyway, see you in June 👀
